The Advantage of the CAP Loan Benefit Is All Yours

As a current OCS candidate, joining Armed Forces Mutual with $100,000 of BeyondBasic term life insurance also makes you eligible for the CAP (Career Assistance Program) Loan — a benefit of Membership that nearly 50,000 servicemembers have used since it was created. 

The CAP Loan is a $5,000 personal loan that you pay back over 60 months at a fixed 1.5% APR. Use the funds when and where you need them — help pay for your next PCS, cover higher education costs, get extra financial support during a deployment, or make a big purchase or large debt easier to manage. It’s totally up to you. No credit check. No collateral. No prepayment penalty.

Start your application by gathering the information listed below and click the “Get a Quote” button at the bottom. On the next page, complete the form with $100,000 in the "Coverage Amount" field and then select the "Get a Quote" button at the bottom of the form. You will see a quote for BeyondBasic, click on the "Apply" button. After confirming some details about yourself, you will arrive at the "Product Selection" page of the application. It will show BeyondBasic as your product at the top and in the "Additional Benefits" section you will see a checkbox to add the CAP Loan Member benefit to your application submission. Check that box, enter your military email address and click next to progress through the rest of the application.

Completing the application will only take about 15 minutes. Your progress will be saved automatically as you work through it, so don’t worry if you need more time. Also, once you start the application, you will receive an email with a link that can return you to your application in progress. So if you need to pause and complete your application later, you can return to where you left off by following the link in that email. Without that link, you will need to restart the application process from the beginning.

What You Need to Apply:

• Your Social Security Number
• Your date of birth 
• Addresses of anyone who may be named in your policy (such as owners and payers) 
• A copy of Your ID (driver’s license or U.S. passport) 
• Documentation proving the date you joined the military or the date you began OCS/WCSA 
• A copy of your LES
